Thinking about Project 3

I have a fair grasp of what we are supposed to accomplish in project 3. I, along with most college youth with an internet connection, am familiar with the wide range of Web 2.0 sites and their inherent styles, purposes, and formats.
I am not absolutely sure what kind of identity I would like to create for my fictional persona, but I understand the concept of creating a fictional character to be represented through the means of these websites. It is interesting to think of creating a fictional persona on the sites where people attempt to portray their real selves.

One idea I have for a fictonal persona is creating a stereotypically conservative persona, both politically and ideologically. This person made be a wealthy, white male of perhaps attractive stature. This persons conservative beleifs and attitudes would be a blatant part of their identity and essentially consume others impression of them.

I guess that sounds like a Stephen Colbert.

On the other hand, before I fully develop a persona for this project, I would like to think of some original and eccentric identity to develop for an example of how many strange people there are out there portraying themselves on the internet.

To what extent does our fictional person need their relations developed?

Project 2 Progress

I have a general idea of how I am going to construct the images I have for project 2. I have a narrative of idea of capturing a snowboarding trip and showing different phases of it; watching snow fall, overlooking a mountain, the actual riding, and having to leave. I need to narrow down what images I am going to use specifically because I have brought some in, but I am not positive that those are my final candidates. Once I have chosen my definitive images I need to properly edit all of them, probably in Dreamweaver in order for them to be movable, be inter-linked, have alt tags.

I may possibly use iframes and other techniques, but I will decide what is necessary for the project and what works for my ideas.

I need to properly organize my WinSCP folder and have my project 2 part of my website functional.

Expanding Project 1

Although my website itself is fairly incomplete, I need to create more webpages to be linked in addittion of the list, narrative, and visualization. I may try to follow the idea of having the list as a connecting point to the project. The list may be the central theme of items/ideas.. the narrative and visualization will focus on items and/or ideas described there. I may try to write additional narratives about new items, such as a story about guitar, or a snowboard etc; and connect those items to the list. Link these additional stories to the list.

Narrative...

Ideas for Project 1:

Default way to create linking narratives is to link 1) the initial description of an item with 2) a second narrative, made now, with 3) a created list; which will connect the description and narrative.

Ross sits around in his blank room, waiting for something to happen. A small brown desk, a black chair, a dim lamp, and a softly humming, warmly glowing computer screen comfort him in his goal of quenching his desire for life in the present moment. What will he find comfort in today? Ross doesn't appear to be leaving his room anytime soon, so the most likely candidate for the job is the eternally available friend of his, the PC. Ross even has a connection to the internet, opening up an infinite world of digital possibilities for Ross to explore in the serenity of his room.

The warm screen joyfully greets Ross as he sits down at his desk hoping to unravel the mysterious of life, or perhaps simply alleviate the boredom. How many webpages are there in the damn world anyway, he thinks.
This is just one way of enjoying the room in which Ross resides, of all the things that revolve around him within the walls of the room, the PC is certainly the most engrossing and involving. Oh, how he loathes its seduction.
